We welcome applications from in zone and out of zone. The school has an enrolment scheme in place which defines a school zone. In 2019 there will be a limited number of out of zone places available.

2019 Year 6 Enrolment Timeline
|Tuesday 26 June
|Year 6 Parents info evening #1||· This will be an opportunity to gain all the information required about what we do here at Royal Oak Intermediate, schooling pathways and direction, learning models, school tone and culture, and a time to ask any questions you may want answered about the transition to intermediate.
· Distribution of Prospectus and Enrolment Documents
|Monday 30 July – Friday 3 August
|Visits to contributing Primary Schools||· Ross Devereux, Principal and Albra Stoltenkamp, Deputy Principal and student councilors/prefects will visit the primary schools during week two of next term to speak with and deliver the prospectus to each child likely to attend Royal Oak Intermediate. This will be a fun, interactive and informative presentation.|

|Year 6 Parents info evening #2||· 6:30pm – This will be another opportunity to gain all the information required about what we do here at Royal Oak Intermediate. We will offer a hands-on learning experience for parents and Year 6 students alike in our specialist rooms, ensuring you have a real taste of Intermediate school! We look forward to seeing you there.|
|Tuesday 14 August
|Year 6 whanau and student school tours||· For Year 6 children and their whanau/parents who would like to experience what education is like at Royal Oak Intermediate, we are holding an Open Morning during which time senior staff and student councilors/prefects will be available to show them around our school, to see what school is like on a normal day!|
|Tuesday 6 & Thursday 8 November
|Year 6 students visit ROI||· Throughout the morning on these days we will be hosting Year 6 students who have enrolled at our school, enabling them to familiarise themselves with the school. They will spend some time in classrooms experiencing how teaching and learning happens here, as well as the many extra opportunities available for students to be involved in at an Intermediate school.|
|Monday 12 – Friday 16 November
|Transition/SENCO visits to contributing primary schools||· This is for our Deputy Principal: Teaching and Learning/SENCO to meet one on one with the contributing school Deputy Principal or each Year 6 teacher (or alternative) to talk about each specific child enrolled to come here.|

This will also be delivered to all the contributing primary schools early Term 3.
