Welcome to Royal Oak Intermediate

Specialisation is a key component of Intermediate Schooling.

At Royal Oak IntermediateSchool we currently offer Languages (German for Year 7 Students and French for Year 8 students), Art/ Design, Bio-Food Technology, Design Technology and ICT. Each of these areas has a specialist teacher whose skill and experience extends students thinking and challenges their ideas about how the world around them operates.

In Design Technology students will apply a design process to make a product. This process will help them solve real problems and real challenges in the real world.

ICT is a critical component of our student's daily lives. Our programme aims not only to improve their technical skills but to ensure students know how to keep themselves safe on-line at all times.

Bio-Food technology is not just 'cooking'. Students learn the about the composition of foods, how to read food labels and how to prepare healthy options from their resources. We believe students need to make informed choices about food.

International languages are an important part of  the 21^st Century learners tool kit. We believe that by giving students a taste of languages they will be able to make informed decisions  about future schooling choices and career options.
