Royal Oak Intermediate School is a great school on the edge of the Manukau estuary. Built on the site of the first zoo in Auckland, the School has a fascinating history and has faithfully served the South Central Auckland region of Onehunga, Royal Oak and Mangere Bridge for many years. | Academic PerformanceStudent's academic progress and achievement is of paramount importance to everyone at Royal Oak Intermediate School . We have set high targets around behaviour, reading, writing and numeracy that require energy and effort on behalf of staff and students. Academic success at Royal Oak Intermediate school is not just about achievement. Rather success is about progress and adding value to our learning. Students at Royal Oak Intermediate School have significant extra opportunities available to them. For example, they can choose to take the international competition and assessment for schools (ICAS) exams in Literacy, Mathematics, Science and Computers. Students can engage in Science on-line, the primary research project, Otago Maths Challenge, Mathex, Speech and Literature quizzes to name but a few. We believe all students can learn, we expect all students to progress and achieve. |
